Wildlife Crossings är det engelska ordet för faunapassager. Faunapassager är strukturer som tillåter djur att korsa mänskligt skapade barriärer på ett säkert sätt. Det är oftast broar eller viadukter under och över bilvägar. Jag har intresserat mig för arkitekturen och platserna och har under några år fotograferat olika faunapassager. Fotografierna är gjorda med olika tekniker och jag blandar in Trafikverkets egna bilder på de djur som rört sig över de passager som jag fotograferat på.
Faunapassager hindrar också att det blir isolerade populationer och på sikt eventuellt inavel. Du kan hitta faunapassager över hela världen. Dessa bilder är från Kungsbacka, Orust och Uddevalla i Sverige.

Wildlife Crossings are structures that allow animals to cross human-made barriers safely. It is engineered structures and designated zones that are constructed over and under roadways. I have taken an interest in the architecture and the places and have for some time photographed various passages of fauna. The photographs are made with different techniques and I mix in the Swedish Transport Administration's own pictures of the animals that have moved over the passages that I have photographed. Wildlife crossings also helps prevent isolated populations from becoming genetically distinct or inbred. By maintaining these connections, these nature-mimicking builds support the genetic diversity and the overall health of species. You can find wildlife crossings all over the world. Theese images are from Kungsbacka, Orust and Uddevalla in Sweden.
